For one amazing day the Hazel Gap Barn was transformed into Hogwarts. Have look at the wedding video from Jay and Joe’s Harry Potter themed wedding to get a glimpse of this truly magical day.
All the guests were sorted into four Hogwarts houses, roughly a quarter of guests in each house and most guests wore something representing the colours of their house. The venue was decorated with flags representing all four houses and countless items from Harry Potter world. There was a sorting hat next to the table plan, Quibbler for people to read in the bar area, Marauder’s map for guests to study and even an excerpt from the Daily Prophet announcing Joe and Jay’s marriage.
When it came to the wedding breakfast quests discovered that every single one of them have been given a personalised magic wand. Each table represented a subject for the Hogwarts and was decorated with corresponding items.
In the evening it was time for ceilidh with everyone present giving it a go. In-between the dancing the guests could take a little break and roast marshmallows in the fire-pits outside.
It is safe to say that it was a magical day filled with love, emotion and fun.
