A video from Rebecca and Rebecca’s DIY wedding at Trafalgar Warehouse in Sheffield. There is no denying that this was a very emotional wedding. But at the same time, it was also crazy, fun and joyful.

The day started at the Leopold Hotel in Sheffield city centre where both brides got ready, albeit separately to keep the dress a surprise. With six bridesmaids on each side it was a busy morning.

The wedding ceremony and reception took place at Trafalgar Warehouse. When Rebeccas first went to see the venue it was winter, the lights were off and it looked bare, dark and cold. Nevertheless, both of them fell in love with it. Trafalgar Warehouse is by no means your typical wedding venue (whatever that means), yet it has plenty of character. It is the perfect place for couples that are after something alternative and a little bit edgy.

Once the venue was booked it was time to think about the decorations. Rebecca & Rebecca soon settled on sunflower theme for their wedding and asked all their guests to grow a sunflowers for their wedding. Luckily the guests were happy to give it go and by the time the wedding day came around there were plenty of sunflowers to fill the vast venue.

The wedding ceremony was really heartfelt emotional, and the personal vows meant that there was not a dry eye in the room. During the speeches, it soon became apparent how much both Rebbecas mean to their friends and family and also how much they mean to each other. There were tears and laughter, hugs and toasts and even a little bit of heckling.

After the speeches, it was time to party. It started with Rebecca’s auntie teaching everyone a dance routine involving flowers arches and tambourines. Once the guests got hang of it the dancing continued well into the night.
