Did someone say marshmallows?!!! The Fire Pits in the court yard always are a hit among the guests.
Hazel Gap Barn is one of the best barn wedding venues in Nottingham area. The Barn, watch towers and courtyard have been carefully restored and transformed into rustic wedding venue. It has a reputation for amazing food, great staff and a cosy yet modern feel.
Ceremony
As you enter the ceremony barn , you will instantly notice the large oak timbers and an imposing fireplace at the end. The ceremony barn also features two giant candelabras and candlelit lanterns. This helps to create a warm and cosy atmosphere even in the middle of winter.
Reception
This venue is known for it’s amazing food. Sourced from local farmers and cooked on hand-made rotisserie – it is delicious!
Once it gets dark another of Hazel Gap’s features comes to life- the outdoor fire pits in the courtyard. They are perfect for toasting some marshmallows or just keeping warm!
Accomodation
Hazel Gap Barn hasn’t got accommodation on site but there are plenty of excellent guest houses and hotels in vicinity. However, because of the rural location I would recommend pre-booking transport so guests are not waiting around at the end of the party.

I’ve been filming weddings for over seven years and have had the privilege of working with so many wonderful couples. From grand, multi-day celebrations to intimate home weddings surrounded by close family and friends, every wedding I capture is truly special.
On your wedding day, I like to keep things simple. I use minimal gear—no big rigs or bulky cameras—so I can blend in naturally. Most of the time, I film handheld (except for the ceremony and speeches), which helps me stay unobtrusive. Guests often assume I’m a photographer and are surprised to learn I’m actually filming!
