“I’ve got a date tonight dad.”

“Oh yeah, who with?”

“Just some bloke.”

“……..just some bloke?!”

“Yeah, just some bloke.”

The first date was followed by the second, and then by the third and before long Sarah and ‘The Bloke’ fell in love.

When Paul finally proposed (and there might’ve been a few ‘subtle’ hints from Sarah…) the bride to be found the perfect wedding venue within days.

Well OK, it didn’t look perfect just yet. In fact, it was complete opposite of perfect – an old farmyard with some derelict barns and a patch of land. However, Sarah decided to trust the vision of Hazel Gap Barn architects and boy did her trust paid off!

By the time Sarah and Paul’s wedding came around the old farmyard was transformed into absolutely stunning wedding venue, featuring spacious ceremony and reception rooms as well as gorgeous courtyard with real fire pits and beautiful gardens.

I was honoured to be Sarah and Paul’s Nottingham wedding videographer working together with my husband as their wedding photographer. Together we captured some absolutely stunning images and video.

The ceremony took place in the Old Barn followed with drinks at the courtyard around the fountain, while staff were preparing the rotisserie for the wedding breakfast. Sarah looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown and the bright bouquet complemented it perfectly.

By the evening the guests were out in the courtyard again gathering around the fire pits and toasting marshmallows. We used this time to take Sarah and Paul to the front of Hazel Gap Barn to capture some more dramatic footage in the dark that provided the perfect ending for their wedding highlights video.

Below are some of the photos from their wedding day
