Hannah & Paul, Hazel Gap Barn Wedding video
A video from Hannah and Paul’s wedding at Hazel Gap Barn in Nottinghamshire.
Hannah and Paul love story started when they crossed paths at work. They soon discovered that they shared the same sense of humour and enjoy similar things in life.
After 4 years together Paul decided that it was time to ask the question, but he wanted to formally ask Hannah’s dad first. He waited until Hannah was not at home one evening and invited his future parents-in-law to dinner.
Although Hannah’s father gave his permission he reminded Paul that this contract not have a 14-day cooling off period”. Paul decided to propose under the “Christ the Redeemer” statue in Rio de Janeiro. It was a challenge to keep the ring hidden from Hannah until the right moment, and when he finally got on one knee Hannah took a while to give the answer. Eventually she did and then it was time to plan the wedding.
The happy couple booked Hazel Gap Barn for their wedding reception and St Mary’s Church in Cuckney for their ceremony. Hannah picked a rustic theme featuring milk cans filled with flowers from cottage garden.
Hannah picked a fitted dress with lace bodice and finished the look with long veil pearl earrings. Bridesmaids wore long dresses in pigeon blue and hairpieces made out of eucalyptus leaves and gypsophila. The groom and his groomsmen were dressed in blue suits with pigeon blue waistcoats and baby pink ties.
Hannah and her bridesmaids got ready at the Forest Lodge Hotel in Edwinstowe whilst the Paul and his groomsmen met up at the pub near church just before the ceremony. After the ceremony the happy couple and guests traveled to the Hazel Gap Barn for the wedding reception.
