A wedding video still shows bride getting out of the tractor.

Alice and James – Holdsworth House wedding video

Alice and James originally planned their wedding for spring 2020. However, as Covid19 swept through the world and eventually the UK went into lockdown. All events, including weddings, were canceled, and just like many other couples, Alice and James had to reschedule their wedding.

Instead of having 100 guests they had to limit their guest list to just 30 people. No singing and dancing were allowed and people had to follow the social distancing guidelines. Luckily it was a nice and sunny day, perfect for an outdoor ceremony.

Alice got ready at her home whilst James was waiting for her at the hotel. Unbeknown to Alice, her dad had driven up his brand new tractor from their family farm and was going to use it to take his daughter to the wedding venue. It might not have been the most comfortable ride but it certainly left an impression.

The wedding took Holdsworth House and Hotel in Halifax and started with a few arrival drinks, followed by the blessing in the garden. Later a small group of guests enjoyed a wedding breakfast featuring a pre-recorded speech from Alice's maid of honor who could not attend the wedding.

Despite all the restrictions and social distancing measures, this was a day filled with love, laughter, and happiness.
